The Korean Swedish Association was founded in 1963 and became a legal entity registered at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to foster friendship and promote academic, and cultural exchanges between the Republic of Korea and the Kingdom of Sweden on a non-governmental level in 2010. 

Since its foundation, KSA has contributed a lot to the promotion of civilian exchanges between the two countries and is working closely with 'Embassy of Sweden in Korea', 'Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Korea' and ' Swedish Women's Educational Association.
